Connor Milstead is a classical guitarist and educator wholly dedicated to the instrument, its performance, and pedagogy. As a multifaceted artist, he has been asked to play in famous halls such as Strathmore in Washington DC and Carnegie Hall in New York City, and has had his compositions premiered throughout the United States and Europe. He is currently the artistic director of the Baltimore Classical Guitar Society Guitar Orchestra and performs with his wife, Mexican cellist Natalia Vilchis Garcia, as part of Duo Dalí. In addition, he also teaches at the Preparatory division of the Peabody Conservatory of the Johns Hopkins University and is adjunct faculty at St. Mary’s College of Maryland. He holds a master’s degree from Peabody Conservatory where he studied with maestro Manuel Barrueco, and a baccalaureate from Florida State University where he studied with the late Bruce Holzman.
